Idol 4 with VR is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 216.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eventually...it all comes to a halt I bought 3 of these almost 2 years ago. All 3 worked fine for the first 3 months. Since then, it's been slower than molasses at the simplest tasks. Opening an app takes 3 to 5 seconds every time. VR goggles are cumbersome to use. Speakers are the only feature I like about it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I've gone through two of these buggers in less than 1.5 months. The first one turned on but the screen was totally unusable, and the second one just refused to turn on. I take very good care of my phones and never dropped them once, and this is the thanks I get? Garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Bought this less than 3 months ago and it just up and died. Won't light up, won't make noise, won't do anything. I had the earlier version for 1.5 years before it died this one was a step up and in my budget , less then 3 it dues. Waste of my money. DON'T RECOMMEND

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AWFUL my dad bought me this phone and i've had it for a year now. its awful. the internet keeps going out, it overheats constantly, and it charges really slow and drains fast. the storage is just awful. i've downloaded mabye 4 apps on it and its already out of storage

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery life and bluetooth kills it. The functionality of the phone is all relatively good. However Everytime I connect to a new Bluetooth device I have to restart the phone in order to connect. The battery life is also atrocious only lasts about 2-3 hours of active usage on only running Spotify.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what i expected Was so excited to receive my new phone, all starting with the delivery the guy never came to me door (required signature) just tossed it over the fence. The goggle thing works, the phone is extremely glitchy not at all convenient wish I never picked this one

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The battery sucks and a issue with the headphone j I brought this phone for $99 dollars, if I had paid more I would be very upset. This phone has some serious battery issues, even in saved mode the battery run out of juice fast, even with little to no use. Alcatel really needs to address the battery issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its a Great phone butt.... The phone itself is great. It has a lot of space if you're a gamer, etc. But the VR is very poor quality and drains the battery fast also, the phone tends to get pretty over heated when you use the VR.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so great I had an older Idol 3 that was a great phone - Thinking the 4 would be better I "upgraded" - it is not - 2 big issues - the Ram is limited this phone lives at 85%-90% ram capacity - and the bloatware apps that Alcatel now pushes on all of their phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow, freezes, UI crashes Had it for a few months and already wished I had gotten a Samsung or HTC. Crashes on me, have problems getting Bluetooth to work in my 2015 Honda Fit, freezes, etc. I have to reboot it every day, sometimes a few times a day, to get it to not be slow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing for the price but.. Everything that you can possibly need except, storage space. The internal has a large portion taken up by preloaded apps. Then, you are limited by how many apps you can download because none can be stored on your SD Card. Otherwise, this phone rocks!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's Okay I bought the phone to upgrade from my previous one (Grand X 3) mainly for a better processor. I also was hoping to be able to have a hotspot on my $60 unlimited plan. Well, there is no hotspot for the $60 unlimited plan and I'm pretty upset with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seemed nice at first - but no We bought 2 at the same time. Mine went flat dead on day 7. Cricket refused to exchange it since it is only warranted for exchange for 7 days. They claimed the day I bought it was day 1 so if you bought the phone at 7 pm and had 1 day to exchange then the next day was too late! Bought Friday afternoon and dead by Thursday night but Friday morning was too late. So sent in for warranty repair which took about 3 weeks so I was back to the old phone. Phone came back and about a week later I dropped it about 2 feet which I have done with my other phones over 100s and 100s of times. This one broke instantly and was again dead and not covered. No more new phone. Money gone. I have literally had drops worse than that 50 times with my HTC 626 which (back to using it again even now!) is still fine though scuffed up a bit over time. My son's IDOL 4 worked better but after few months the bluetooth stopped working and has never worked since despite many hours trying to fix it. His is 6 months old now and has no bluetooth and short battery life. My 2 year old HTC that I reverted back to is working fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just looks great This phone looks great. But for some reason the processor and some options are not stable. The bluetooth sometimes does not find the device, the phone gets warm when charging and using applications. GPS, instagram, camera and YouTube are buggy ...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the best. I've had this phone for about a year now. It has always had a problem with its texting an touch screen sensibility. Recently though, like for the past 2 months, it has been struggling to keep a charge. Overall, not the number one choice I'd pick.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't waste your $ This phone had an excellent camera, but that's all it has. The battery dies way to quickly, and it stops working regularly. On the web it'll just stop and on certain apps it will just stop. I am returning this phone as I just bought it 4days ago.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating phone I bought this phone a few months ago when the screen on my Samsung Edge got shattered. I had done my research and really felt that the Alcatel would be a good replacement. I was SO WRONG. 1) Right from the start I had problems connecting via bluetooth and I could not respond to group texts. I researched on the Internet and got no help; went in to a Cricket store and got no help; contacted Alcatel support (via email) and initially got no response. After about two weeks I got an email back instructing me to clear the app cache, and if that did not work I was to wipe the system cache. I ended up having to do both, but it did get bluetooth and group text finally working. Problem is I have to do this every single time they send an update to my phone. 2) They updated the "Joy" launcher that manages my phone screens and wiped out my 4 screen configuration. No notice, no warning. 3) Other items: Sound quality is just fair; wifi does not seem as speedy as it did on my Samsung. Will never get an Alcatel again. Going back to Samsung as soon as I can afford to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what is expected This phone was a great buy considering it came with a VR headset, has a full HD display and has dual front firing speakers. But is is really slow at times, the touch responsiveness isn't all that great and can handle very little multi tasking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away! I have this phone for about 4 months now and it is not one I would recommend. The screen does not respond properly, the drop calls are to much. The phone will freeze and I will have to reboot to get it to respond. Stay away from this phone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T GET THIS PHONE. This phone has been a nightmare. I have Bluetooth connectivity issues, internet connectivity issues. The VR headset isn't all that. If you're accustom to any level of quality you'll hate this phone after 2 weeks. Save yourself the drama.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great phone, but overheats quickly Its been a very good phone so far. Dont care for the VR. The only two complaints are battery life isnt long enough, and the phone tends to overheat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst tging ive ever used Battery life sucks, the phone it's self is complete garbage ,constantly freezing up out of the box crashing constantly, the only good thing about this phone is the speakers I have been with cricket since the beginning back 17 years

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugggh!! I bought this phone about a month ago and I hate it. The battery life is horrible and it won't let me use the camera. Only reason I put two stars is because the camera is amazing when it will take the pictures.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Alcatel I bought the phone and a few weeks ago, the phone has nice visual and volume boom with the speakers... the bad thing about the phone 16gb, battery sucks you always have to charge it and freezes when many apps are in use

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weak Screen I have had three of these in the past year. All three had screen easily crack. Entire face won't work with any type of crack. I loved the phone and all the features. Just can't stand the poor quality glass on screen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Phone I've Ever Owned. Bought this phone as a replacement about 2 months ago. Worst decision I ever made. Battery has the shortest life in any phone I've ever owned, last about a half of a day with not a lot of usage. Any time I try and send a picture the entire phone locks up and crashes, which is a big deal to me since I specifically went in to buy a phone for it's camera functions since I use it a lot for work. Keyboard has response issues. Constant freezing issues when using the web browser. Also I didn't buy it for the VR feature but out of the box the lenses were all scratched and unlike what it said on the web page for this phone it does not come with the head strap. When I've tried to address this with Cricket whether their main number or the store where I bought it they have all pretty much told me it's not their problem and they won't do anything about it. It's very disappointing considering I've been with Cricket since they opened their first store in Maryland and have sent probably at least 50 customers to them but they are not the same company anymore and really don't care about the customer

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Idol 4 Se mira elegante, pero no me gusta por qué se calienta mucho y la batería se gasta muy pronto ,en la mañana como alas seis dice 100% para veinte horas, pero alas diez de la mañana ya solo tiene 30% no dura la batería

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional The battery life is below average but browser's and apps function properly, for the price it is as good as anything available. The VR is useless(I tried several times) I did not buy the phone for VR thankfully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Need more work I bought this phone almost two months ago the battery drains a lot without any apps being used. Charged full battery but phone dies after a two hour use. Sometimes i don't receive my mms. It freezes a lot.
