Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice Phone but comes with preinstalled malware I really liked this phone when I first purchased it. The built in so-called Antivirus cannot be removed and once this so-called antivirus updates itself, it updates several other programs and installs programs plagued with ads that you cannot remove. The built in antivirus will also give you false warning about your phone being infected to try to get you to install more malware and adware. The built in software also tracks and steals all your information you have on the phone and sells this information to third parties to generate revenue. YOU CANNOT REMOVE THE MALWARE preinstalled with the phone. It is not adware, it is malware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Midrange Phone Comparing quality to price, this phone is outstanding. Purchased about eight months ago. Speed, screen quality, battery life is leaps and bounds better than any other ~$150 phone. This phone is right in that sweet spot between the high and lower end phones. Spec/performance-wise, this should be a $250-300 phone. I've never experienced any lag or overheating. And battery life is still great. HD videos look great on this 5.5" screen. My Apple-snob daughter was shocked at the high quality photos I sent her. When I pinch to zoom, the detail is still there. Many other phones in this range only have 5-8mp sensors. I was hesitant to purchase, not recognizing the Alcatel brand name--but if all their phones are this quality vs price, then they might be very recognizable in a few years. I look forward to purchasing another Alcatel phone when this one eventually moves on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge bang for the buck What's not to love? Octa-core, plenty of ram, full HD screen, decent battery and OTA upgradable to Android 6.01. I've had mine for about 4 months and have never had a problem with overheating even with watching HD Netflix. Battery life is about the only thing I'm not crazy about - it will easily last a day but that's it. It's also the first phone I've had that the speakers don't suck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a bargain and as good as expensive phones This is by far one of the better sounding phones out there for audio quality. The videos on youtube are a joy to listen to on bluetooth or thru the JBL speakers. There is really not one thing I don't enjoy about this phone to sum it up. Heck, I've thought about getting a 2nd one as a spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid range phone on the cheap had this about 6 months and love the screen, great speakers (yes, more than one), and pretty good at all things. Really heavy computing (games and heavy websites with ads) can slow it down compared to high end phones like the Sammy S6. Side by side, that S6 is much faster at most things but for less than a $100, this is an awesome phone. Hard use during the day will require another charge up but with just phone calls and occasional web surfing, easily one full day or two on a single charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't beat the price! Transferred my number over and only paid $50 when it was on sale. Many phone around $50-100 do not come with an octa-core processor, 2gb of ram or 5.5 inch screen. Long battery life is awesome but takes a little longer to charge, best if you charge it with the original wall charger. The volume out of the stereo front facing speakers is great, I enjoy watching videos on this phone. I don't recommend this phone without a case, it is made from light materials that isn't that durable. I noticed the screen is somewhat weak, sometimes I can see where I touched the bottom middle of the screen. Most the times it is a quick phone, however the read/write speeds of the storage and ram isn't that fast so at times it will get a bit sluggish more often then phones that have similar specs. However such phones are usually $200, like the MotoG. You can't really beat these specs for the price. My biggest selling point is battery life, this is what I needed this phone to have since I use it a lot during the day. It does it well. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone for a Gret price! I bought this phone 8 months ago and it has been the best phone I have purchased so far. Great speakers and no lags. Would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a inexpensive phone but great value.

I also love the fact that u can answer your phone upside down!! The 5.5 screen is perfect to watch videos or play games on. The battery life is decent, it gets me through all day just doing basic stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this phone My husband bought this phone for me a couple of years ago. I wish I would filed a claim using the insurance plan instead of buying a new phone. The screen is a nice size and the speakers are nice and loud...almost too loud if the volume is turned all the way up. The camera is awesome. I could not find another phone within this price range with a camera as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent phone for the money! I bought this phone a year ago, and have been very happy with its performance. The camera, battery life, stereo front-facing speakers and overall responsiveness are more than I expected. Comparable to phones costing twice as much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance After Android 6 Update Phone was really slow with Lollipop. But, once it got upgraded to Marshmallow, performance improved drastically.Phone is really responsive. Camera is decent. Excellent screen and battery. Worth every penny. Do not compare this phone with really high end phones such as one plus 3, Samsung Note ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The phone is fast and the camera quality is great. I bought this phone a month ago and it is still running fast. I am so glad Cricket offered such a cheap but awesome smartphone that sticks to what is explained about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performance - Very Reliable I have had the phone for over 6 months. I purchased a nice protective case for it that included a glass screen protector that is flawless. I also have not dropped it too many times and I am careful with it so I can't speak to physical durability other than after constant use it is still in perfect shape. WiFi is very fast - tested up to 55 Mbps, audio is excellent, Bluetooth works flawlessly in both cars for voice and music, the display is full HD and extremely clear even with the screen protector, the auto adjust brightness is real nice with this display, there is minimal bloat ware and the pre-installed apps can generally be completely removed without rooting the phone, it received a version 6 update, my Samsung Galaxy S4 from Cricket that I obtained a year ago is stuck on Version 4. This phone is much faster than the S4 which was a nice phone other than the lack of OS updates. The screen completely rotates, the battery lasts for days in standby, E-Mail and office apps work perfectly (I have excel files and word docs), I use SMB to access files on a file server with no problems, I use Mezzmo to stream and share with no problems, texting apps work great, streaming works great both audio and video, I run SiriusXM all the time (can Bluetooth to the car but I have it in the car so I don't use that feature) - it works flawlessly with Google Cast. I took a video of a water-skier from the boat, it was incredibly sharp and vivid in HD. Photos are sharp and clear although I must admit I prefer a camera with an actual lens. I use smart recorder and have used it to record guitar music and it came out quite well. When I connect it to my PC I completely see the file system both internal and SD card. Everything is easy, I don't have to deal with IOS hiding implementation, I can manage the file system as I see fit even on an unrooted phone. The Cricket Visual Voice Mail works flawlessly as well and is free. Heat - I installed Pokémon Go and the phone does get a little warm running that app. But it doesn't crash or seem to complain. If you are a heavy gamer, you may want to consider that. I am at level 22 so I have played more than once or twice and it has not had any problems other than getting a little warm - not counting Niantic server problems of course.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money My fiancé and I purchased these, because the sales rep swore they were so good, she bought one. The screen is big and the sound quality is awesome, BUT unlike other phones, if you have a tiny hairline scratch, not a crack, on your screen, you can't even unlock your phone. My Samsung was cracked from being dropped, and still worked perfectly. This phone basically has to be wrapped in a soft bubble wrap at all times, so you don't scratch the screen, or you will lose all functioning capabilities. ( The screen protector doesn't work either.) Don't make the same mistake we did. Just walk away and get a better name/quality phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best phone for $100 I have had this phone for around 6 months now and have been very happy with it. Holds a charge well, and has enough ram to load fast and not bog down. I highky recommend if looking in the $100 range for a quality and functional android.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for a while I've actually had tthis phone for for about a year and it worked great most of the time. No issues on camera quality, it running slow or sounds crispness. If anything this phone has the best sounding speakers I've ever had. Though it has had some issues, like most phones it started to crash when memory got full and even after clearing up a few gb's the messaging app likes to crash. Plus the battery has been dying as a worse and worse rate for the last 3 months. I've pulled it from the charger and half an hour later with no use it's dropped 10%. While on airplane mode I've been able to hold the charge for a full day but thats still pushing it. If i'm using it to a moderate or high amount than the charge drops like a stone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good features It was a good phone until after 13 months. Now I can't click send on a text unless I type the text; then turn upside down to flip its screen; then click send. I also cannot dial the numbers 1, 2, 3 to make a phone call. It appears there is a dead zone in the middle of the screen all the way across. It is still usable, because I have all my numbers preset; but if I need to make a different call; I have to add the number as a saved preset; then call with that. All my apps are still working. One last thing; I am not a big texter, so I didn't wear it out. I maybe text 3 or 4 texts average a day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid Dependable Phone I've had this phone for about a month and it's already my all-time favorite. Alcatel doesn't spend much money on advertisements so I wasn't very familiar with the brand. Moreover, it's not the most splashy phone out there but it has so many good qualities. The speakers and sound quality are great. The screen is vibrant and I love how you can flip the phone and the image corrects itself. Touch is very responsive. Screen size is a bit larger (but not too large) which I appreciate. So far, the phone has never jammed and needed to be re-booted. Battery life is about average but OK for me as I am not a gamer. I also have an iPhone 6 (from work) and this phone is so much more intuitive and seamless. My last phone was a Samsung Galaxy 5 and it was always freezing up. For the money (if you port your # to Cricket) this phone is a no-brainer as not much of a risk. Until something radically new comes along, I am quite content.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from works ok, SUPER FRAGILE! I've been thru two of these phones, neither lasted more than a month. Not even worth applying my phone insurance to anymore. The first phone fell, ONTO CARPET, the screen had a small hairline crack but the touch screen wasn't registering, so I sent in for a new one having paying my deductable, for the new phone less than a month later my phone was in my pocket while my toddler accidently head butter it while giving me a hug, same thing happened, caused a small crack at the top corner and whole touch screen was unresponsive yet again!!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent device, weak glass Pros: Decent screen size and quality. Cameras are pretty good. Overall not bad. Cons: Could use more ram, Only 2gb. Glass, lcd, & digitizers are fairly fragile compared to other phones. And for the record, I had tempered glass screen protector and case on both that broke. 1st broke after one month, when it slipped out of shirt pocket ( 2-3 ft from ground)and landed on rock. It happens.. 2nd one was few feet higher. I liked it well enough, but deductible is almost price of new one. Bare these in mind and choose a good case..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best I bought this phone about 3 weeks ago and I was really nervous about it at first because of the mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a shot anyway and I am not disappointed at all! The only thing that I wish was a little better was the battery life. But everything is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good job Alcatel!!! This has been the greatest phone i have ever owned. I did ruin one of them in my hot tub. Ran to the cricket store hoping they still offered it and luckily they did. What a great phone though. Im buying a extra one in case they discontinue it. Haven't touched my ipad since i got this phone. Better than my galaxy 5 was. Only negative i can think of is the battery is not replaceable but hey for 79.99 ill just buy the whole phone. Can't believe they can sell such a great phone for 80 bucks!!!
