Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can you hear me now? When I place a call, 8 out of 10 times the person I am calling cannot hear me. When i recieve a call everything works fine. It is not a problem with the SIM card or the speaker. It is a problem with the phone. I had my phone replaced under warranty and the replacement phone worked for 6 days and then started doing the same thing. Other than that I love the phone. I am switching to a different make & model phone. Read the other 1,2, and 3 star reviews for the Amp Prime and you will see a lot of people have had the same problem with this phone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating The battery was not secure so almost every-time I laid it down it shut off. My husband actually put a sliver of wood between the battery and the back. There are features that are on the screen but cannot be used with the droid. (?) Weird. Some of the photo features you can open in one, but can't crop, etc.... I did not think it was user friendly. Also, I was disappointed about with the camera. I thought this one was good for pictures, but it has to be pretty perfect scenario to capture a good picture. I paid almost $200 for this one from Cricket, at least it is cheaper now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not terrible, but not the best either I had this phone for about 4 months and it was great! I loved the simplicity of this phone, the size, how quick it was, all the little things that make Samsung phones so great. However, over time all these wonderful things were overshadowed by the fact that I would have certain family members that were 25 to 30 miles away that I would have no record of calls or text messages. When I did call people, they wouldn't be able to hear me unless I put in headphones, and even then was still sketchy at best. It was so frustrating and annoying that I had to switch to another phone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everything Great build, very slim, ok camera, ok storage (16gb with 10gb free on unboxing), amazing Samsung features, 4glte data, loud speaker, great mics (2 of them), great everything. I got this phone to replace my dumb Verizon budget phone and this phone feels like an s6 in many ways. Samsung is the way to go! Oh, and so is cricket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Phone! I love this phone! The size is perfect. It is not too big or too small. I have only had it a few days and was skeptical about buying it because it was such a good price. Really glad I did. I even asked if I could return it if I didn't like it. Of course there is a restocking fee but it was an option. I will not be returning it! It is 16GB, you can use an SD card for more space if needed. Like I said, I have only had it a few days, but I do not see my mind changing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can you hear me now? This is the second Galaxy Amp Prime that I'm attempting to use. Every other call, at least, I have to use the speakerphone for the other person to be able to hear me, it was worse with the first phone. The only reason this is my second one is because I sent the first in to be fixed. I think I'll be trying a new phone since I'm having the same issues with the second. Also my second one is having screen issues, it randomly fritzes out and the screen doesn't work but the phone does, so the alarm will go off and I have no way to shut it off other than take out the battery. I do NOT recommend this phone to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime (Cricket), White SM-J320AZWZAIO It's a great phone The Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime, a budget-friendly smartphone built for social media power users. super AMOLED screen, with rich colors and sharp images. The 5MP camera is perfect for the social media maven whose main focus is on selfies and groupies. You don’t even need to press a button – the Amp Prime has a hand gesture-activated camera, so you don’t have to awkwardly reach for the button while holding the camera one-handed. Equipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box, so despite being a budget phone, you don’t have to deal with budget software. I love it thank you samsung

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst Samsung phone I've ever had Most of my phones have been from Samsung, so I was expecting a quality phone. I didn't get it with this one. The battery life is garbage, even with the power saving mode on. I can leave my home with the battery at 95-100%, and at the end of the day, without having made any calls, without watching any videos, or basically using it at all, it will be down to 1%. I always have to use the task manager, because the apps will freeze. It glitches, and I end up having to restart it. I've had this phone for 2 months, and I am ready to get another phone. I will not be getting another Samsung phone after this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Samsung AMP Trouble Purchased Samsung AMP 2 weeks ago. I have been inundated with ads on the phone. I could not figure out where they were coming from at first, but the installed Beacon flashlight and the Z camera both are on line and saying "hers's a phone - send your ads here" very frustrating. You have to swipe away the ad to get to the phone. The ads are for companies I have not searched or been at (GPS). SOme are from stores that are not in my area. Sooooooo, this is a very frustrating feature. Have the salesperson at Cricket remove these installeda apps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great phone for a good price I have had this phone for a few months to replace my LG Stylo because I wanted a phone with more storage. I like the fact that it is sleek and lightweight. The screen has great resolution and it is pretty fast. The battery usually lasts me two days, unless I am on it all day or are playing music in the car. It is easy to use and is a really good price for the quality of the phone. I would recommend it to someone who wants a simple phone that has all the latest bells and whistles, and for someone who wants a lot of storage and a long lasting battery. My only complaint is the camera can be slow with focusing and the front-facing camera is not that good. It is better than not having one at all, but it is not that great. Plus when you take pictures the picture looks like it does not look that clear when you take it, but when you look at the picture it comes out quite clear. Great phone for a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic starter phone I got this for my son, his very first phone. I didnt want to dig too deeply into my pocket for an expensive piece of machinery, doomed to be dropped by a hustling teenager, and I use a Samsung 7 edge myself, and this was perfect (I didnt have to struggle with cross-brands). Simple in design and use, setting the device up was incredibly easy and my son has had no problems and is very pleased. It holds a charge for about 11 hours, has all the features these hip young kids need to stay connected responsibly and charges quickly. The only thing it needs is an SD card for all those selfies, amirite? I definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK value phone I have bought 4 of these phones. One for myself and three for other family members. My other family members have had zero problems with their phones. However, I am a heavy app user and use a lot of storage on my phone. The phone I use has had many problems. I have issues with making phone calls and no one being able to hear me. My phone is very laggy. As with most Samsung phones, it has slowly deteriorated with age. Would i recommend this phone? Sure. If you're looking for a budget phone this will definitely do the trick for you as long as you're not a heavy user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Cicket Galaxy Amp Prime is an Awesome phone! I love this phone! I Have absolutely NO complaint of this phone! I love this phone, and to show Im not promoting the cellular network CRICKET, I'll tell you I'm only staying with them because I want to keep using this phone I dont like their customer service and I think they charge you extra for every little thing! For instance, using your Hot spot, they Charge an extra $10.00 a month fee, which is ridicules to have to pay more to share your Data! It should be free! I also have other reasons, but my letter is,already too long!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good phone... in the beginning Phone was great for the price at the beginning. Then had several missed / dropped calls for NO reason. I was home with children and an unreliable phone. Called Cricket, and they told me that it wasn't my service, it was the phone itself. I would have to send it to them and they'd replace it, leaving me without a phone for about a week... Not a great idea with infants in the house and this being my only mode of communication in an emergency. Now, I never have enough storage. I clean out my texts, my apps, my photos, and still cannot update anything on my phone, as I still see "not enough storage". Also, the camera is absolutely horrible. Everything is blurry! Very frustrating and can't wait to get a different phone. Very disappointed with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good device given its modest specs I picked up a Galaxy Amp Prime about two weeks ago after I broke my Lumia 650. I looked at this device closely a few months back while a subscriber on another service, and passed it over when I switched to Cricket a little over a month ago because I was not inclined to spend money on a phone on a provider with which I had no experience. I really wish I had gone ahead and bought this phone to start with, because it's a very good device which focuses on aspects of mobile device performance most important to the average user. The part we all interact with most--the display--is excellent. I prefer OLED technology to LCD, and this 5-inch 720p "Super AMOLED" panel is fantastic. (Confusingly, there is no auto brightness setting...which initially bugged me, but with time I've concluded I don't actually miss it.) While it isn't "full" HD, it is plenty sharp and thanks to its lower resolution, doesn't unduly tax the phone's relatively modest internals. Another important consideration is battery life, and the Galaxy Amp Prime delivers this in spades. On average, I'm finishing up 15-17 hour days with 50% of life left on the meter. It's the first phone I've had in a long time that I haven't had to attach to a charger during the course of a normal day of usage. Other good stuff: Runs Marshmallow 6.0.1 and even received an update out of the box; build quality is excellent (Samsung makes the best plastic phones, bar none); accepts high-capacity SD cards; decent on-board storage (over 10GB available to user); simple but attractive skin/launcher. Not so good: This is not a peppy device, with frequent stuttering of animations and waits for apps to open or respond...but considering the internal specs and the price, I don't find the performance hits unacceptable; no option to merge SD storage with phone storage, a Marshmallow feature that Samsung and other manufacturers have chosen to disable; two-tone white/black front glass panel is weird...would rather have had it all one color; back and recent apps capacitive keys not backlit; subpar imaging performance from rear-facing camera. Taking all things into consideration, this is a very good device for the money, and despite Samsung's recent troubles with its highest-end phone, they make excellent, dependable Android devices which really amount to no-brainers for people on a budget. By including an excellent display panel and big battery on an otherwise ho-hum piece of hardware, they've created a very compelling device that's definitely worth consideration.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hangouts won't work I bought this phone as an upgrade because my old cricket phone had no ability to block numbers. On this phone, Google Hangouts will work for a day or two and then just stop--no error message or any kind of notification, it just won't send or receive messages. Restarting the phone fixes the problem temporarily, but I shouldn't have to randomly restart the phone every so often just to get Hangouts to work. Hangouts worked fine on my old phone so the phone is definitely the issue. Also, my old phone could go for days without needing to be charged, but this phone has to be charged every day. Annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love My Phone! I love my new Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime phone. This phone is very versatile and so much more. It has 16 GB of storage and I can save photos and videos on my SD card. It takes great photos & HD videos & has room to store my music. The operating system is fast. It's easy to make a phone call. I love the larger screen. Makes it easy to type. Another important feature for me is that this phone also works as a Wi-Fi hotspot so I can easily connect my laptop to it and access the Internet where ever I am because sometimes you need to do something electronically that requires a bigger screen than a smartphone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good. So far, it's been a good phone. Good features, adequate storage, everything I need and nothing that I don't need. The only thing I'm not sure about is why some of my photos disappeared. I'm going to have to make sure that they're backed up after I restore them, but I think that is an app problem, and not because of the phone itself. Also, the battery is replaceable, unlike the phone I had before. Big plus when the batteries won't take a charge anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best phone from cricket I've bought yet This phone is absolutely great! I got it on December and it's been 5 amazing months with it, the battery with heavy use all day I can last a while day with it a full 11 hours which is what you should aim for for keeping your device charged and to keep a healthy battery life, I honestly don't know why people are saying the volume /hearing is bad it's amazing loud and clear! This April is the marking of one year I've been with cricket and this far most is the best line I've boughten!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can you hear me? As other reviewers have said whoever you call may not be able to hear you. These are prone to have bad microphones and mine does. Went to Cricket store twice, no solution. Extra internal storage is nice. Built in features not as nice as my previous phone. Alarm clock only, no timer or other clock features. Blue tooth connect is slow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed Phone. Still Mic problem! Same major flaw as NYC -as reported 2 months ago: There is a major flaw - the microphone breaks every 3rd or 4th call so that you can hear the caller but they cannot hear you. I have had this phone replaced 3x all with the same problem. I gave up due to a 10 day waiting for replacement of refurbished phone with the same microphone problem. Samsung should give refund but won't. Stuck with flawed phone but at least it hasn't exploded yet!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easily the worst phone I've ever owned. This phone has NOTHING going for it. It's slow, buggy, lacking features, low performance, and half the time the microphone doesn't work. I bought about 3 months ago, and I was SO glad that I dropped it, and broke it. I bought an Alcatel One Touch Idol 3, and it works great. My wife has the LG X Power, which is also much better than this JUNKY Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime. Several years ago, I had the Galaxy S3, and at that time, it was GREAT phone. These new ones... Not so much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Called Numbers Can't Hear me 4 of 5 Calls I bought this phone a week ago and I made my first out going call on 02/20. 4 of 5 calls I make the person on the other end cannot hear my voice. When they call me there is no issue. I am calling from own home. I have been with Cricket for 13 years and never had this issue with a phone. I am working with Cricket's tech team to try and fix it. They think it may be a SIM card issue. I'll update shortly

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product I've had this phone for several months, and I am quite unhappy with it. I've had several Samsung Galaxy phones, all of which were good to excellent phones. But this one has a serious design flaw. When calling out, the other person cannot hear you. You can hear them just fine. For some reason, the microphone doesn't work unless you hit the volume selector several times after the call is connected. I should have read the reviews before purchasing it, because I cannot afford to replace it now.
