Sounds Great

With HD Voice capability*, you get crystal clear conversations and less background noise when talking with someone else on an HD Voice compatible phone. Plus, you can browse, message and use apps faster while on a voice call!

*To experience Cricket HD Voice, both callers must have a compatible HD Voice capable smartphone and make the call over Cricket's LTE Network or a compatible network. Cricket's LTE coverage is not equivalent to its overall network coverage. HD Voice calls made on a compatible device and on the LTE network may not experience an HD Voice connection at times of network congestion. Other carriers' networks may interoperate with Cricket's LTE network to support an HD Voice call.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Phone needs Recalled! I bought this phone in December 2017, both my wife and I upgraded to this model, mainly because of the 16 GB of storage since the operating system takes up about 8 GB. Since the purchase my phone has worked fine, however my wife's phone has been returned to warranty 3 times because the Samsung keyboard stops working and there is no way to override the keyboard permanently with a Google keyboard. I've tried factory resetting the phone with no success. Samsung claims its a Cricket software issue, which its not cause there a forums about the issue affecting other service providers too. Cricket claims there is nothing they can do other than keep replacing it with the same model in hopes that we'll get one that works. Thus far the Galaxy Amp Prime has been more reliable (actually works) compared to the newer and more expensive Galaxy Amp Prime 2 and LG X Charge. I got the LG to try and get away from Samsung, but unfortunately I'm not sure whether it was the phone or Cricket's service, but my wife’s voice would cut out where the other person was unable to hear, even though she hears them clearly. I was assured that I would get a full refund if I returned within the 7 days, but I only got back the money for the phone, not the $25 upgrade fee. So, I paid for an upgrade, but am still using the old phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO memory I absolutely hate this phone. I have 3 apps on my phone and can't ever open my gallery to see my pictures. I have around 20 pics on it. I even installed a 16gb memory card to hold some apps and my pics and still don't have enough memory to open gallery. Now it is telling me I don't have enough memory to receive my voicemails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Phone I purchased this phone as my Galaxy Grand Prime died and had to replace it. It is a little smaller than the Grand Prime, but all the features are just as good, just took a little while to get used to. Miss the Grand Prime, but managing just fine with this one. The agent was terrific helping me make the change. Thanks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thick glass cover I recently purchased this phone because of the great deal. Well, the Google Maps does not verbalize and when I called for help they told me to go to Google internet. I am not happy with this phone. And the glass cover too thick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This phone is garbage! I purchased this phone because it seemed like a great deal, little did I know I was getting an 8GB phone with 7.77GB's of BLOATWARE that I cannot take off! Since the moment I turned on the phone it has said the storage is too full and may not function properly and it hasn't. It doesn't sync my emails, doesn't update my calendar across other devices, doesn't give me my notifications, I can't take pictures because even though I have it set to save them to my SD card it doesn't and then tells me the memory is too full to open the gallery. I literally do not have a single app of my own added to this phone, I have no photos or music, absolutely NOTHING and it says the storage is so full that I can use this phone to send texts and make phone calls and that's about it. I am furious that I spent money on this and I will be replacing it as soon as possible. Do not waste your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective through Cricket Wireless I bought this phone new. 2 months later, when I make calls the person on the other end couldn't hear me. I did FIVE warranty exchanges! 3 of them, the outbound calls didn't work on the first call and sent them back the same day I got them. I asked the Warranty Rep at Cricket how many times will they exchange this defective phone, she said as many times as needed. I switched providers and got a J3 Emerge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best phone at Cricket!!!! I bought this phone a month ago. I like it better than the Samsung 6s I paid 4x as much when I was with Verizon. The battery lasts way longer than any other. Cricket rocks and so does this phone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst phone I've owned Bought this phone 6 months ago. I only downloaded 2 apps and there's no more memory. Also, the screen is often difficult to swipe it on. It is very frustrating when I've had to try to make emergency calls, especially when I my uncle was suddenly dying and I needed to call family memebers, the phone screen wouldn't come on. I'm extremely disappointed in this phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible!!! My daughter only had this phone 3 weeks , first time dropping the phone from her pocket the screen shattered. We had a case and screen protector on the phone. I think we may have gotten a defected phone due to we all have dropped our phones and never had this happen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned the phone not compatible with hot spot I returned the phone for a refund. The website indicated that the phone I chose was compatible with hot spot. However, when I received the phone, the plan that I have was not compatible. So I upgraded to a unlimited plan. The upgraded plan was not compatible with the phone. So I have to start over again or chose another carrier service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless This phone came with 8GB internal memory, and more than 4.25GB is already taken up by system software and manufacturers software. This leaves you with less than 3.75GB of memory for personalized apps and widgets. I bought an SD card, but it's only good for storing multimedia. This phone is a frustrating piece of garbage!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An adequate inexpensive phone I've been using this phone for a month after giving my Samsung S6 to my son. It's a bit slower but it doesn't take long to not notice it. The best thing about the phone is that it was inexpensive. It feels just like the S6 in function. There was no real learning curve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super duper! I had a S4 and it did never work right. It is good in every way but the camera.I am not selfie taker so don't care much. Charge lasts a really long time.Has all that a person needs who is an average user.(not teenagers)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it!! Bought this phone about 6-7 months ago. Its a great phone if you have patience. It lags. Can't answer phone calls until it's too late. Memory sucks. Glass on it sucks as well. I regret ever buying this phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for the price. Android 7 and 16gb storage make this phone good for the price. Uninstalled Samsung's annoying Defender app. Just there to push ads. Installed Lookout and CCleaner instead. Phone may actually work better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Purchased for my grandson. He loves that he can use it all day without having to charge it. He makes his videos, texts, and calls. The camera works very well. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No More There's no difference from the other. The volume is too low, the camera pics aren't that good, and my keyboard freezes up on certain sites while typing. This is the last Samsung for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT Galaxy Amp Prime 2 Great phone, awesome package and WOW network. Just wondering why I did not implement this decision (to switch and start using this product) earlier. Am certainly NOT regretting it.
