ATLANTA – Feb. 20, 2019 – The results are in and Cricket Wireless is pleased to announce the three finalists of its Cricket Cares Capital Grant contest. The contest, launched in celebration of Black History Month, recognizes the many contributions of dedicated entrepreneurs who work hard to make their communities better.
Congratulations to Pamela Booker, founder of Koils By Nature located in Lithonia, GA; Sherelle Hogan, founder of Pure Heart Foundation in Detroit, MI;and Henry Keculah Jr, founder of 4.0 GPA located in Houston, TX These small business owners are now in the running to win one of three prize packages:
- 1st Place Winner: $25,000, FREE Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone with one year of service
- 2nd Place: $10,000, Free Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone six months of service
- 3rd Place: $5,000, Free Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone with three months of service
The finalists recorded a video describing why they deserve to be the grand prize winner, which will be placed on YouTube for public viewing and feedback via likes and shares. A group of judges will decide the first, second and third place winners based on the following criteria:
- Entrant’s current demonstrated commitment to improving his/her community through his/her business;
- Entrant’s clarity and creativity in sharing his/her business story
- Entrant’s answer regarding his/her plan to use the prize if selected as a winner
