Charges & Fees

Why is there an extra $5-$15 fee on my bill?

When your single-line account is suspended for more than 1 day (24 hours) due to lack of proper payments, you will need to pay a $5 reactivation fee (2-29 days after due date) for single-line accounts or $10 for multi-line accounts. If you wait 30-59 days after your due date, the fee is $15. This fee is included in the amount due shown on your bill.

BridgePay

What if I'm already past my Payment Due Date?

  • You can still make a BridgePay payment for up to seven days after your Payment Due Date, and you will avoid a reactivation fee.
  • As soon as you make a BridgePay payment, your service will be restored and you will have seven days of service before having to make your second BridgePay payment.
  • Your new billing cycle will begin the day you pay to reactivate your service.
  • All future billing cycles will start on the same date each month, and your due date will be the day before. See examples
  • If you don't make a second BridgePay payment within seven days, your service will be suspended.

What happens if I forget to make the second BridgePay payment?

  • If you forget to make a second BridgePay payment within seven days, your account will be suspended.
  • You'll need to pay your full monthly total for the next month to restore your service, and:
    • Your new billing cycle will begin the day that you pay.
    • You'll be charged a $5 Reactivation Fee for a single-line account or a $10 Reactivation Fee for a multi-line account if your payment is received more than 24 hours (one day) after the end of your first BridgePay period.

Can I use BridgePay if I'm enrolled in Auto Pay?

No. Accounts enrolled in Auto Pay are not eligible for BridgePay.

Can I set up BridgePay for only one line of service if I have more than one on my account?

No. BridgePay must be set up for all lines of service on your account.

Will my features still work during the period between my first and second BridgePay payments?

Yes. Your plan and features will not be affected by BridgePay as long as you make the second payment on time.

What is the activation fee for BridgePay?

Currently the BridgePay activation fee is $5 per account per billing cycle for a single-line account and $10 per billing cycle for a multi-line account if your payment is received more than 24 hours (one day) after the end of your first BridgePay period.

I have multiple lines on my account. Why is there a different charge for each line?

The first BridgePay payment is based on the rate plan associated with each line of service. $25 plans, $30 plans, and $40 rate plans pay $10, $50 plans pay $15, $60 plans pay $20, plus a $5 BridgePay activation fee for a single-line account and a $10 activation fee for a multi-line account). The second BridgePay payment will include all remaining service charges for rate plans and features and will also include any Group Save discounts associated with the line.

Why does my bill cycle reset when I enroll in BridgePay after my service is suspended?

If your service is suspended at the time you enroll in BridgePay, we reset your bill cycle to the day you make your BridgePay payment so you don't pay for the days you didn't have active service.

I heard that I should be able to enroll in BridgePay via text of "BPAY" to "4444" and get a 24-hour BridgePay enrollment grace period. Is that true?

At Cricket we make it easy to enroll in BridgePay by calling 1-800-Cricket (1-800-274-2538) or visiting a store near you. Enrollment via text message is not available.

What if I'm out of high-speed data and I set up BridgePay - when will my high-speed data access resume?

The date your high-speed data allowance resets depends on when you make your first BridgePay payment. If the payment is made:

  • BEFORE your monthly pay date, you won't have access to high-speed data until your new billing cycle begins.

For example: If you set up a BridgePay on 5/1, and your Payment Due Date 5/3, your data will reset on the first day of your new billing cycle, 5/4.

  • AFTER your monthly pay date, your new monthly service will start on the day that you pay - so you'll immediately have access to your next month's high-speed data allowance. Your new monthly billing cycle will begin the day that you pay.

For example: If you set up a BridgePay on 5/1, and your Payment Due Date was 4/28, your data will reset on 5/1. Your next billing cycle will start on 6/1, so your new Payment Due Date will be 5/31.
