When you place on online order, you'll need to provide your current wireless account information at checkout. We'll contact your current service provider to confirm we can transfer your number. The info you provide must match your current service provider's records exactly. If there is a mismatch in the data, the transfer will be delayed.
Provide Accurate Account Information
We suggest you have a copy of your bill from your previous wireless company handy. Your account PIN, password, or passcode relates to your overall account. It's not the password for your online account or your voicemail box. If you can't remember it, contact your previous wireless company for help.
Verify Your Information
If we have any issues with the information you provided, we'll let you know. We may ask you to come back to the website to provide more information so we can process the transfer. You won't be able to activate your new service until we confirm your phone number transfer.
Types of Numbers You Can't Transfer
- Canceled or disconnected
- Home phone
- Numbers from some smaller wireless companies that have opted out of the number porting process
If your number can't be transferred, you can easily join Cricket by selecting a new Cricket number.
