HD Voice

HD Voice: the Difference Is Loud and Clear.

High Definition Voice (HD Voice) makes phone calls crisp, clear, and easy to hear. Audio is sent over Cricket's 4G LTE network, using VoLTE (Voice over LTE) technology, so you can enjoy:

  • Better voice clarity
  • Reduced background noice
  • Streaming at 4G LTE speeds during your call

What's Needed for HD Voice

To experience HD Voice, both parties must have Cricket HD Voice-capable smartphones and calls must be made and received over Cricket's 4G LTE network.

How HD Voice Works

High Definition Voice uses VoLTE wideband audio technology and noise cancelation. This allows a wider range of sound waves to be sent over the network than standard definition audio. The result is clear conversations. Voices sound more natural and you'll hear much less background noise compared to standard voice calls. It sounds like you're in the same room, even if you're on opposite sides of the country.

At Cricket, we're constantly working to improve our network for our customers. HD Voice is a great enhancement that offers better-sounding conversations, background noise filtering, and allows you to surf and stream at the same 4G LTE speeds even while you're on an HD Voice call. It's just one of the ways we're building for the future.
