Available for $10/month, it includes Cricket Protect insurance, U.S.-based myExpert support for your everyday tech needs and 50 GB photo and video* storage with myPhotoVault.

Effective April 19, 2020, there will be changes to Cricket Protect and Cricket Protect Plus. You will now get access to more benefits than ever before including:

  • $29 cracked screen repair as soon as same day for eligible devices in select areas
  • More cloud storage to protect your photos and videos with the myPhotoVault app
  • Increased insurance claim limit allowing for a total of 3 claims within a consecutive 12-month period
  • Increased maximum replacement device value from $1,500 to $2,500 per occurrence

Get Cricket Protect Plus

Sign up for Cricket Protect Plus in My Account or the myCricket app within your first seven days of new phone purchase or upgrade. Or, if you have Cricket Protect, you can switch to Cricket Protect Plus at any time.

Once you sign up, you’ll be sent a text message with a link to download the myExpert** and myPhotoVault** apps for iPhone or Android. Then, any time you need help, just open the myExpert app.

With the myExpert app, you can:

  • Reach a U.S.-based tech expert in seconds
  • Get your phone set up the way you want it, including transferring information and apps to a new device
  • Connect your phone to your car Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, wireless speakers and more

With the myPhotoVault app, you can:

  • Free up space on your phone. (The app automatically backs up photos and videos at full resolution.)
  • Enjoy 50 GB of secure storage
  • Easily share and manage photos and videos

No, tech support and device insurance is specific to each line. Cricket Protect Plus must be purchased for each number on the account.
You can add Cricket Protect Plus during the first seven days after your new Cricket phone purchase or upgrade. If you’re already enrolled in Cricket Protect, you can switch to Cricket Protect Plus in My Account or the myCricket app at any time.
Visit My Account or the myCricket app and select Manage Plans & Services. Select your phone number and Change Plans & Features. Scroll down and choose Skip & Manage Features. Find Cricket Protect Plus and select Add Feature. Follow the prompts to complete your change. Note: If you remove Cricket Protect or Cricket Protect Plus and check out before adding the other version, you will not be able to add it later.
You’ll be able to access your files in myPhotoVault. However, you will not be able to upload new files. Nor will you maintain access to premium interactive tech support through myExpert. Canceling Cricket Protect Plus will result in the loss of insurance and service contract. If you switch from Cricket Protect Plus to Cricket Protect, you will still be able to access your files in myPhotoVault and upload new files to an 8 GB maximum.
