Happy Pride Month! Our amazing field marketing team vibrantly celebrated Pride Month in communities across the country. #CricketNation supported those apart of the LGBTQ+ community by doing what we do best, spread smiles for miles.Cricket kicked off Pride Month celebrations in the Great Lakes at Springfield, IL. Pridefest. Thousands were in attendance for the day-long event. We collaborated with Authorized Retailer MobileLink to host a booth where attendees interacted with our prize wheel for fun giveaways.
The following week, New York welcomed Cricket at the Say It Loud BIPOC Pride. The event advocates for LGBTQ+ members who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Cricket and Authorized Retailer, Cell Phone 4 Less hosted a booth together handing out fans, bags, Mardi Gras beads, Cricket crowns, koozies, and cups. They also shared information about Cricket products and services, including our participation in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The event featured a parade, delicious food, street vendors, a family carnival zone, and entertainers such as Nina Sky and Angie Stone.
Down south, Cricket attended Central Alabama Gay Pride Fest & Parade. This year’s Pride was extra special commemorating 45 years of celebrations in Central Alabama! As a festival sponsor, the Cricket team gave away prizes while building meaningful connections. The festival featured local and nationally known performers, street vendors, and food trucks.
Rounding the month out, Texas and Denver’s festivities showed #CricketNation that last does not mean least. We were spreading smiles at Bigger Than Texas Festival at Crockett Park, South Padre Island Pride, and Denver Pride. At the Bigger Than Texas Festival, Cricket and Authorized Retailer Sum Com Mobile collaborated to host a booth. We brought our Cricket magic again with our colorful glitter station. Along with our glitter, we handed out fans, shirts, koozies, and held a raffle for a custom branded ice chest. “Cricket Wireless is always excited about participating in Pride Bigger than Texas in San Antonio because it allows us to show support to the communities we serve as well as the employees who are part of those communities” shared Senior Marketing Manager, Josh Balli.
At Cricket, we are committed to creating an inclusive culture of belonging and respect internally and externally.
