Rated 1 out of 5 by from This passed Quality Control? After owning for a little over a week. Missing numerous texts, rebooting constantly, not sending texts. I contacted ZTE and mailed into their service center. How a product such as this could be brought to market is beyond imagination. There are good phones and bad ones, but few that reach the level of junk that this one does. Until cricket stops avoiding any responsibility or decides to update or replace these garbage phones, I would definitely avoid them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for Pretty disappointed honestly. It has made me learn pretty quickly that you get what you paid for. It has 2 gigs of memory but there is always 1.6 of it already used. So running multiple apps is just not an option. FB messenger does no stay connected in the background so receiving notifications won't happen. If this phone had one more gig of memory it would probably be a great phone for the price. Camera is terrible. No stabilization means the majority of pictures come out blurry. The touch on the screen is no accurate at all. When typing you will have to make several corrections because the screen just doesn't register you touching sometimes or it thinks you hit something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Budget Phone Ever For what I paid compared to the competitors, you will definitely have more money in your pocket after buying this phone. It can do just as much as the top of the line phones for a whole lot less. Two of my favorite features is the quick charge and the finger print scan...on a budget phone let me remind you...a budget phone. I sat there and played an app for about 8 hours, had to recharge and it charged with in an hour. Of course the battery life last a long time if it idols too so you don't have to worry about charging every 8 hours if your a casual user. The finger print scan is fast and easy and keeps unwanted cousins from grabbing it and taking selfies with it. Also the apps load pretty fast too, no lag at all, plus the full HD 6 inch screen looks amazing...also an up to date Android 7.1.1. All in all best budget phone you can get, highly recommend this phone if your on a low budget income and love high tech cellphones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great I bought this earlier in the month, the device seemed okay then it started shutting off, wouldn't stay powered on, videos wouldn't play would lose picture and only have sound. You cannot customize much with this phone without downloading extra apps to do so. The texting app not the best, you get suck with green and white. -_- Honestly I wouldn't buy this again. I had to get the same for a replacement because it was more than seven days after buying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It could be better. I bought this phone 2 weeks ago and I've been having problems with it every since it freezes up on me everyday when I use multiple features and it takes a moment before it unfreezes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone at a great price Migrated from an HTC One to the Blade X Max. When I bought the HTC One four years ago, it was arguably the best smartphone on the market. But it was past time to move on to another phone since the battery in the HTC was fading fast. I thought about getting another cutting-edge phone such as the Samsung S8, LG G6, or Google Pixel, but asked myself why I needed to spend $500 - $700 for a new phone. Did I really need 4G of ram or the lastest Snapdragon processor? Did I really need all the lastest bells and whistles? Not really. After reading the reviews for the Blade X Max (especially one from a previous HTC One owner), I took a chance on this phone. Glad I did! Completely impressed with this phone. Nice big, bright screen. Android 7.1.1 installed. Battery lasts a long time. All for only $150. Simply a great phone at a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good phablet san sim This is an easy to use phone. The size is quite large, but it fits in my fannypack perfectly. The only major issue I have is with the sim reading. The phone uses a nanosim and initially did not read the sim at all. I added a couple layers of tape on top of the sim and then it was read. Occasionally the sim is still not read, but fixes itself after restarting the phone. This is very cumbersome. I did not have this issue with my previous Samsung Galaxy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I really wanted to like this phone. Coming from a Grand X Max +, I did my research, skipped over the first update to that model line (due to poor reviews) and went with this. Mainly impressed with the 32gb, which I really needed, and the positive reviews, I took the chance and bought it. What a waste of money. It always overheated, froze up and locked apps. The phone would shut down and reset itself often, I tried using google maps to get me to a destination and the phone overheated, froze up, shut down to a black screen and would not come back on until the guy at the cricket store did a partial reset. I was advised to contact ZTE, to which I only got canned replies and was told it would be at least 7-10 business days for them to "fix" the phone or send back a refurbished replacement. I only had this phone 58 days. After a week of run-arounds from ZTE, I took the phone back, got my $55 trade in value and bought the Galaxy S8. If you use your phone a lot and actually need it to work, I don't suggest this phone. They lure you in with the 32gb storage, but the 2gb RAM, which is always at 1.8 or 1.9gb used makes the storage pointless. The phone badly lags, every time I would plug the phone into a computer to transfer photo's, it would freeze the whole computer. Battery would be down to 75% after only 20 minutes of checking emails and a couple of phone calls. I was always having to find somewhere to plug in. Stay away and spend the money on something better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it! People please buy a different phone... This phone wll start freezing and blacking oit on you.. Eventually the power button will not power your phone. This phone is not worth it... And i have only had it for 2 months.... Spend your money on sonething else.... Dont be fooled by the large screen!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate Have had the phone for about a month. Generally works fine but freezes up with larger games or video and requires restart. Processor doesn't seem able to keep up. Audio on phone calls is quiet even with volume at Max... Difficult to hear the person you're talking to if you're in a place with a lot of background noise (i.e. outdoors). Battery life is excellent. Good phone for people who don't use their phone for much beyond call/text/photos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted This phone is everything I wanted. The phone is really big, good for watching movies. I love the fingerprint lock. only downside of the phone is charger is different so if you forget your charger and want to just purchase one at like a local store you wont be able to and I am 99% sure that no one around you will have the same charger unless you have the same phone. Also, make sure you purchase a phone case when you buy the phone. Literally had the phone for like 8 hours and my son dropped it and the screen cracked. besides those two things I love the phone and features like dual screen option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed So, I have had this phone for two weeks. I have totally loved it. A few minor annoyances, but nothing major. UNTIL THIS MORNING!!!! I'm out of town on business. Phone worked fine this morning, phone alarm woke me up, I checked email, etc. Went downstairs to get my morning caffeine, came back up, and picked the phone up and nothing. Tried the power button and nothing. Normally, with a phone, if I've had a problem like this (and I can't say that I have) I would do a battery pull. Well, that's not an option on this phone. And yes, the phone was at 100% charge this morning. So, I'll be finding a Cricket store here out of town and see how that goes, I'll write another review after I've had the replacement phone for a while (I'm going with the same model because I was happy with it until this) when I see how it performs. Now for the hassle of re-doing everything on a new device. UGH

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Camera I bought this a couple weeks ago. It runs slow and takes forever to open an app. Sometimes, it gets stuck and you have to wait for it to catch up. I did a hard reset on it (recommended by Cricket) and it seemed like it helped for a day or so and then it was back to being slow. I do love the camera and the storage. However, the storage seems pretty useless when you can't use half the apps you have downloaded due to it being so slow. I wil probably go back to my trusty Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime with 8GB just because it's faster and I don't have to wait forever to send a message or open an app.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fed up with issues I bought this phone around 6 months ago it's a nice phone my issue is that I can not get notifications for text messages and some other apps. I've checked everything is turned on with the apps it will not wake the screen to show something has came threw on the phone nor will it make any kind of sound for certain apps. The sound is also on the quiet side for this phone so I have to use an external speaker for it. The phone locks up constantly and won't load certain apps either plus at times it just goes to a black screen and will eventually turn off when ever it decides it want to. I love the size and features of this phone but the issues it comes with makes me want to pitch it in the garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 8th day quit charging, freezes all the time. Terrible Phone! Not for sure if it is partly to blame on Criket but this phone is the worst, My husband bought a cheap phone LG and it works great on criket, however this phone, has been freezing and having to be restarted since I purchased it. I constantly run through the defender app trying to keep it clear. I figured I would keep it and see if the freezing got better, I finally decided I would keep it instead of the hassle of returning it through mail, and on the 8th day of me having it, it quit charging with the charger that it came with, we called the company and they said it was to late, since it was one day past the 7 day warranty. Also this phone took over 7 days to get to my house in the first place, and the Criket coverage is terrible at least for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst phone ever!! In the past, I have not been too picky about my smartphone. But the ZTE Blade XMax was SO BAD that I couldn't not post a review. I bought one from Cricket and returned it in less than a week because it was glitchy with the alarm clock and a standard GPS app as well as occasional freezing. I returned the phone and paid the $25 restocking fee, thinking it was just that one phone since I had read great reviews about it. So I bought a second one expecting it to be great. It is 3 months later and the phone is now nearly completely useless. It freezes constantly, regularly closes apps that I am using and has caused me to miss work due to it's glitchy behavior! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE unless you need it to smash to vent your frustration!! I'm going back to my old Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone! This is my first Android phone and coming from an under powered Windows phone it's a breath of fresh air because now I can get the apps I need. The phone itself is slim and beautiful if somewhat slippery (get a case) and after owning for a week have not had any issues with it. The 2 gigs of RAM is more than enough for the average user and those that think the system uses too much RAM need to realize that a lot of it is allocated to apps that you frequently use and are kept running in the background for quicker load times--Android is pretty good at managing RAM. It's not a flagship phone so if that's what you're expecting you may be disappointed, but for the casual user this is a great phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Freezes up! I bought this phone a couple of months ago. I upgraded from the ZTE Max. I upgraded because there was problem with the speaker phone on the previous phone. This started from day one. I could barely hear anyone. Now that I got the Blade, it seemed to be working fine, but it started freezing up on me. It got worse and worse as time went by. My husband, also bought a cheaper version of the ZTE and the functions at the bottom stop working within a month! My phone now doesn't have any scratches or dents on it. We wasted a lot of money on these phones, because when you call customer support, you have to send your phone in and it takes a while to get it back. We run a business, so we need our phones. Now we have to purchase another phone, with another company. Frustrated!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I hate this phone I'm giving it 2 stars because I like the size of the phone other than that this phone is horrible...I'm so disappointed I didn't go with the Samsung halo I went in cricket to buy the guy working the store told me to get this phone should of went with what I wanted...I ended up with this phone because of the storage worst mistake ever....I've had nothing but problems between it freezing...shutting itself down and not turning on for a good 10 minutes...my screen turns white all the time.... What a waste of money the battery life is also terrible now I'm stuck with it and very unsatisfied...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should of spent a little more for better quality. Bought this phone a couple of months ago. My previous phone broke and this was the only phone with a big screen that seemed to be affordable. The large screen is the only plus to this phone. Speaker sound is very low in volume. The camera is awful. Takes too long for a picture to actually process and the quality is very bad, blurry most of the time. It is also very stressful to keep having to manually connect the phone to your blue tooth every time you get off and on your car ect. Read the reviews but thought the negativity was just an exaggeration, learned the hard way they were not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Much Phone For Such A Small Cost I need a phone that can handle my work. I did not want to buy an Expensive phone and I didn't want to settle for less. So I upgraded from The Grand Max Plus to the Blade and I could not be happier. All the Functions I need from a smart phone with out the Crazy prices other brands charge for this amount of features. The microphone has a major upgrade from my Grand Max Plus and I have yet to run out of storage with the several Apps I run and Photo Taking I do. I am Very happy with this Product and recommend it to anyone. If you do not want to compromise Value, You can not go wrong here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Negative reviews?! Naww... I love this phone After reading some of the negative reviews on crickets website I was hesitant and buying this phone. I went in and took a chance because at the time of buying it was only going to cost me $70. I've had this phone for well over a month and I'm totally happy with it about a case for it and just in love with it. My previous phone was an LG G2. The PPI on this new phone was slightly under the PPI on the LG G2 which was negligible I only noticed it in the first few minutes of using my new phone. concerning the screen going blank on YouTube with 1080 that's only happened twice it's not a big deal I switch the resolution to 720 if that happens. The biggest thing I love about this phone is the Dolby audio app that's built in it gives incredible sound incredible volume ! I cannot say enough about this. The one speaker in the back of the phone is incredibly loud and Incredibly clear compared to the LG phone that I did have which had two speakers. Go ahead and take a chance on this phone you're going to love it if it cost you $100 or $150 it's still cheap...again, I was able to get mine for about 70. The battery life is incredible compared to the LG that I had. Absolutely love the big screen /big phone and the clear resolution... if something were to happen to this phone I turn around and buy another one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont make the mistake i made with ZTE Blade X Max I bought it on 8/24/17 immediately it starting malfunctioning within 3 days by the 27th. It would get stuck on the screen, when I'd push the camera icon it would go 100% black screen and would freeze there. The first desktop screen would freeze to where no icons would open the screen I would be trying to open. ZTE to me is an unknown brand and I personally do not ever want to try and get to know more about the ZTE brand which I got to having while going to Cricket wireless which has now made me appreciate METRO PCS 100 TIMES MORE THAN I HAD THOUGHT of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exquisite Design at an UNBEATABLE Price! I am a former IT consultant of nearly two decades and first started using a cell phone in 1992. I can honestly say this is hands down my favorite one ever! I am a woman but at 5'10" tall, I have huge "man hands" and am loving this 6+" profile! Everything from the Rapid Charge Type C charging to the huge internal and external storage to the fingerprint scanner are truly excellent, especially considering the quality hiccups ZTE has had in the past. The only thing about the phone itself I'm not thrilled about is the inability to access and change the battery. The only thing I don't like about Android 7.1.1 so far is the very poorly designed phone app. As for the user that gave a 1 Star because of trouble with texting, that is NOT an issue with the phone but rather a problem with the A7.1.1 software and it's and easy fix. Just go to Apps, select the Messaging app, click Force Stop, restart the phone and you should be good to go. Be patient with technical issues, they are often not caused by the hardware. The X Max with A7.1.1 is brand new and may have flukey issues that can often be worked through with some diligence and a few Google searches. Sometimes just a Force Stop and reboot is all you need. :-D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow huge amount features for less than $150 First of all I was sceptical about this phone after reading the reviews. But, I quickly realized the complaints wher do to lack of knowledge of phone use. You simply can't leave 35 plus apps open at one time. You should also invest in apps to maintain healthy memory usage. Battery and CPU usage should also be monitored. I have used this phone continuously with two fitness trackers. Both have worked flawlessly. I have used it with be headset;earbuds and headphones all flawless. I have watched videos and listened to music on you tube without any problems. The sound quality without buds is good; with buds or headphones it is outstanding. I have played games with this phone and have had no problems. I promise you the phone freeze complaints are do totally to poor phone usage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great screen, but has hiccups I bought this phone several months ago and really liked the big screen and the color quality. However the one thing that annoys me beyond end is the fact that I have trouble receiving and sending text messages. I have read all the blogs and others have reported that same issue and gave advice on how to fix this issue, but to no avail it doesn't fix the problem. I am on the verge of trying to decide if I should just live with this issue or if I should fork out more money for a better phone. I will not buy another ZTE although they are a great looking phone. I am only buying Samsung from here on out and although I've like owning an iPhone a couple of times before, the price tag is just too steep.
