Cricket Wins Gold at the 2019 American Business Awards

Cricket Wireless was a Gold Stevie award winner at last week’s American Business Awards (ABA) gala. Our “Four for the Holidays” campaign received the top spot for Marketing Campaign of the Year in the Internet/Telecom category. We also earned a Bronze Stevie for Customer Service Department of the Year. These wins are the result of innovative collaboration and commitment across the entire Cricket family.

The Stevie Awards trophies were presented at the ABA’s gala banquet last week in New York. The more than 3,800 nominations submitted were reviewed and rated in a two-month judging process by more than 200 professionals, whose average scores determined the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners.

“It’s always exciting to receive positive recognition for our efforts, especially in such a grand way,” said Cindy Rozier, AVP, Marketing, Cricket Wireless. “Whether we’re using animation and live-action to showcase the role of wireless technology in keeping our customers connected during the holidays or putting new protocols and systems in place to better meet the needs of our customers, the end goal is the same—deliver a wireless experience that is simpler, better and smarter.”

The ABA wins are the latest in a series of exciting achievements and milestones for Cricket. For starters, Cricket is currently celebrating 20 years in wireless—a first in prepaid.  And earlier this year, we surpassed the 10 million subscriber mark—an accomplishment we attribute to our simple, transparent wireless plans and award-winning customer service.

On the award front, in the past year, Cricket ranked first among non-contract wireless carriers in two nationally recognized studies. One study measured the quality of service customers received; the other measured customers overall wireless purchase experience.

We were also named one of the top places to work among midsize companies in the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s 2019 Top Workplaces awards.  And our “Make Someone Smile Challenge” won the Audience Honor in the Creative Use of Technology category at the 11th annual Shorty Awards.
