Cricket Wireless Will Offer Relief through the Temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit* Program Starting in May

Looking to reduce your wireless bill? Save through the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

ATLANTA - April 29, 2021 — The past year has been financially challenging for many Americans and Cricket is here to help. As always, we’re committed to make it easy for our customers to get the connectivity they need, on a plan they can smile about, but now we’re taking it one step further to assist those most in need.

Starting in mid-May, customers who are eligible for relief through the temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB), a federal government program that provides eligible customers a benefit of up to $50/mo. on home or wireless internet service, can come to Cricket and sign up for eligible wireless voice-and-data service.

Eligible households on Tribal lands can receive a benefit of up to $75/mo.

If you’ve been financially affected by COVID-19 or currently participate in financial assistance programs, you could be eligible for temporary relief on our eligible Cricket plans:**

  • Cricket More: Unlimited calls and data*** + 15 GB of Mobile Hotspot for $10/mo. after temporary EBB applied (regularly $60/mo.). $5/mo. for single line customers with Auto Pay.
  • Cricket Core: Unlimited calls and data for $5/mo. after temporary EBB applied (regularly $55/mo.). Free for single line customers with Auto Pay.
  • Cricket Simply Data: 100GB of high-speed data for $5/mo. after temporary EBB applied (regularly $55/mo.)

Customers can verify eligibility at the National Verifier at getemergencybroadband.org beginning May 12.

And for our prepaid customers that aren’t eligible for the EBB benefit, rest assured that we will continue to offer high value, innovative devices and straightforward, affordable plans on our reliable network that helps ensure you can stay connected to who and what matters most.

*The Temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a temporary emergency government benefit program operated by the Federal Communications Commission. The benefit is not transferable. Only eligible consumers may enroll in the program and the benefit is limited to one monthly benefit per household on a qualifying mobile broadband service plan. Cricket reserves the right to cancel the monthly benefit at any time. If your monthly service charge is $0 after the benefit, you must use the service each month, or the benefit will be discontinued. Eligible Cricket Wireless Service: $60/mo. Cricket More, $55/mo. Cricket Core, $55/mo. Simply Data.

**Regular Cricket rates, terms & conditions apply at the conclusion of the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program. Fees, usage, terms & restrictions apply.

***AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy.
