ID Check

At Cricket, we strive to protect your personal information. That’s why we require ID checks in-store when doing certain transactions. Check out additional details and FAQs below to learn more.

We have a process to verify account holders and authorized users to help protect your account information.

We are confirming the name on the ID matches the name in our system.

Any time your account information is accessed in a Cricket retail location, an ID is required. Examples include:

  • Bill Pay 
  • Add a Line
  • Feature Addition and Removal
  • Rate Plan Changes
  • Account Information Changes (name, address, email address, passcode)

  • Bill Pay via QuickPay
  • New Account Setup
  • Accessory Purchases

You can call Customer Service at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) to update your account information, including the name on your account.

Review the list of transactions above where a photo ID is required in-store. Not all transactions require a photo ID. You can also call Customer Service at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) for help or use our self-service options online at My Account and through the myCricket App.
