Cricket customers can participate in the Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus feature, an upgrade option that allows you to have a $200 credit when you’re ready to upgrade your phone after two years of service.
To earn this credit, add the Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus feature when activating service, or at any time by visiting a Cricket store or by contacting Cricket Care at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) or 611 from your Cricket phone.
Once you have enrolled in this feature, you will pay just $5/month. After 24 monthly payments, Cricket will apply a credit of $200 to the purchase of your next Cricket-sold phone that is at least $200 before taxes.
The credit will apply on top of any other special pricing you would normally get if you are upgrade eligible.
Customers have one year to redeem the $200 phone upgrade credit.
Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus is available on all plans, and you can add it to your plan anytime, anywhere – in the myCricket app, online, or in store.
You can check your progress toward earning your $200 credit at a Cricket Wireless store, online, or in the myCricket app. We’ll also send text messages and in-app updates that help you track your progress and reminders to redeem your upgrade credit when it’s time.
You can choose from any phones sold by Cricket Wireless that are more than $200.
You can redeem your upgrade credit at a Cricket Wireless store or online.
After the 24 payments, you’ll have one year to redeem your $200 upgrade credit and pick out a new phone you love.

Yes, you can. You are eligible for upgrade discounts on select phones every 365 days and phone trade-in deals. You can add your $200 upgrade credit to other upgrade deals you qualify for after you’ve completed your $5/month payments for 24 months.
Yes, you can upgrade your phone anytime. You are eligible for upgrade discounts on select phones every 365 days and phone trade-in deals. However, if you want to use your Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus $200 credit on top of these, you will need to wait to complete your $5/month payments for 24 months.
If you remove the feature before completing 24 monthly payments, you will lose all progress toward your $200 credit. Any payments you have made will not count toward a future reward, and your eligibility for the $200 credit will be reset.
Once the feature is removed, your progress cannot be recovered. For example: If you cancel after 12 months, you will lose those 12 months of progress and will not receive any credit.
Yes, you can add Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus again at any time. However, you will need to make 24 new consecutive monthly payments to qualify for the $200 credit. Your previous progress will not be recovered or carry over.
Yes, absolutely! Before you remove Cricket Phone Upgrade Plus, we’ll remind you that you’ll lose any progress you’ve made toward the $200 credit.
