General Plan FAQs

How do I change to a new Cricket rate plan?

You can easily change your plan online in My Account or directly on your device through the myCricket app. Check out these step-by-step instructions on how to change your Cricket plan. Keep in mind, you can only change your plan twice per billing cycle.

Can I purchase applications, media, music and/or games through my Cricket Wireless account?

No, these purchases are handled separately through your device's online store. Examples include Google play, Apple iTunes and App Store, Windows Marketplace, etc.

Can you help me find my previously purchased applications and media? What about music and games?

Please contact your phone's brand store for questions about your app, media, music, and game purchases.

 

International FAQs

Do I need a certain Cricket plan to make international calls?

You must currently have Cricket International, Cricket International Extra, or one of our Individual Country Add-Ons added to your line of service in order to make international calls. You could also have one of the grandfathered features that we no longer offer - Cricket Passport or Aio International. Learn more

Remember:

All Cricket plans already include unlimited calls, texts and picture messages across the US. and from the U.S. to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Cricket Unlimited plans (and $50/mo+ grandfathered plans) already include:

  • Unlimited Text Messages (SMS) from the U.S. to 37 countries
  • Unlimited calling to landlines and mobile phones and unlimited text, picture, and video messaging (SMS & MMS) from the U.S. to Mexico and Canada (Northern Territories not included)
  • Unlimited calling and unlimited text, picture, and video messaging (SMS & MMS) to and from landlines and mobile phones in Mexico, Canada*, and the U.S., plus high-speed data access while traveling in Mexico and/or Canada. (Speeds reduced when you use up your plan's high-speed allowance. Primary usage must occur in the U.S. Calls, texts, and data usage while in Canada cannot exceed 50% of total usage.) *Calls and messages from the U.S. to the Northern Territories of Canada not included.

If someone calls me internationally from outside the U.S. will I be charged extra?

No, you won't be charged for calls you receive in the U.S.

Does 911 work outside the U.S.?

No, calls made on a Cricket phone in Mexico or Canada will be routed to the local emergency services provider.

Auto Pay FAQs

Can I get the Auto Pay credit with my current Cricket rate plan?

The Auto Pay Service Credit Program is only available with Cricket rate plans starting at $40/mo that were activated on or after Feb. 4, 2014. If you're on an older plan, we make it super simple to switch to a new one. Keep in mind, the Auto Pay credit is not applicable to accounts already receiving a Group Save discount or select promotional offers.
