Cricket Spread Holiday Cheer to Over 30 Boys & Girls Clubs Families plus 200 Club Members during Third Annual 12 Days of Cricket
World Kindness Day (November 14) was our launch pad for spreading holiday cheer with our third annual 12 Days of Cricket campaign in collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our work with Boys & Girls Clubs of America helps us build happy, healthy connections with youth and their families across the country. We asked local Clubs in 17 markets to help us identify deserving members and their families who received extra holiday cheer and support totaling $140,000. The 2022 campaign was also supported by Progressive Leasing Foundation.

Cricket extended the 12 Days of Cricket holiday giving campaign to everyone with an amazing sweepstakes. Over 64,000 visitors to our stores and website between November 18, 2022 – January 5, 2023, had the chance to win $2,000 each week and a moto G stylus 5G courtesy of Motorola!

WWE Superstars
WWE® Superstars Titus O’Neil®, Montez Ford™, and Xavier Woods® surprised Club members in New York City, Phoenix, and our hometown of Atlanta! They presented a WWE® Championship title to the local Clubs, signed autographs, and helped distribute gifts. All three Superstars were members of Boys & Girls Clubs growing up and were able to share their experiences and encourage Club members to dream big.

HBCU Campus Ambassadors
Our trailblazing HBCU campus ambassadors across MEAC and SWAC member schools joined in by surprising deserving faculty and students for this year’s campaign. Each ambassador received gift cards to pay-it-forward to an unsung hero on their campus.

Click here to check out Chenel Martin, an Alcorn State University senior surprise Ms. Oliver, a food service staff member. Chenel surveyed her peers and unanimously they agreed that Ms. Oliver was more than deserving to be a recipient of the act of kindness. Zyon Rodgers, a North Carolina Central University junior surprised his professor and advisor Mr. Searcy, in addition to food service staff member Ms. Williams here. NyAshia Muata, a senior at Alabama State University extended love to her dance coach, Ms. Moore who has made a positive impact on her life. These heartfelt moments are truly something to smile about!

Our Surprises Went Social
Each week in December we hosted #DaysOfGiving on Instagram. In our content we asked our followers to tag someone deserving of extra holiday cheer. Lucky recipients won free phones and signed WWE® Title belts. On TikTok, influencer Jesus Morales better known as @Juixxe helped us surprise a BGCA family and street vendor in California.

Spreading smiles to deserving families and Clubs is our reason for the season. Visit the Cricket Wireless Instagram page to view a recap of our surprises to Club youth and their families. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America throughout the year with initiatives in key markets. Special thanks to our partners at WWE®, Progressive Leasing Foundation and Motorola for going the extra smile for communities across the country!
