In August and September, Cricket Wireless, together with our Authorized Retailers (ARs), came together to lend a helping hand in communities across the country.
Cricket AR Crown Wireless donated cases of water, hygiene products and other items to help families in Houma (LA) who were impacted by Hurricane Ida.
In Philadelphia (PA), we joined Unity in the Community to provide 20 incoming freshmen with a $1,000 scholarship and a laptop as part of Operation College Help.
We also teamed with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland (OH) to provide laptops, scientific calculators, backpacks and gifts cards to purchase school clothes to assist families in need.
In the markets of Greater St. Louis and Central Arkansas, we teamed with local chapters of the Boys & Girls Club to award 20 kids from each club with a $100 gift card from Shoe Carnival to assist with their back-to-school shopping.
In Wauchula (FL), Cricket AR Elite Wireless sponsored 6 local teachers to help with their supplies for the school year. Together, Cricket and Elite provided 350 backpacks filled with supplies to benefit students.
In Punxsutawney (PA), Cricket AR Talk 4 Less organized a car show in the parking lot of their local Cricket store to raise money to support the local Veterans Services chapter.
And in Chicago (IL), Cricket ARs A&B Wireless, Allstar, Freedom Wireless, MobileLink and Yaa Connect supported the Union League Boys & Girls Club’s Back-to-School Resources Fair. By working together, the ARs provided a total of 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to families in the Little Village-Pilsen area.
These are just a few ways Cricket and our dedicated team of Authorized Retailers are helping spread smiles for miles.
