What is the difference between Cricket's Unlimited Extra and Unlimited plans?

The difference between Cricket's Unlimited Extra and Unlimited Plan is data speed. The Unlimited Extra Plan is our fastest 4G LTE data speed. The Unlimited Plan (previously the Unlimited 2 Plan) offers data speeds at a max of 3Mbps, with streaming limited to 1.5 Mbps, SD quality (about 480p).

We like our network big and our price small! Our Unlimited Data plans offers unlimited talk, text and data - in and between the U.S., Mexico and Canada. That's worry-less wireless.*

Is the Mobile Hotspot feature available with these plans?

Yes, Mobile Hotspot is available as a feature with the Unlimited Extra Plan and Unlimited Plan and is limited to 10 GB each month. After 10 GB of usage, Mobile Hotspot data speeds slowed to max of 128 Kbps for the rest of bill cycle. If you have one of the Cricket Unlimited plans, you will be able to check your Mobile Hotspot tethering data usage separate from your phone's data usage.

At what point do you begin slowing data speeds under Cricket Unlimited plans?

If you are on the Unlimited Plan and use more than 22GB of data during any monthly plan cycle, your data speeds may be temporarily slowed when the network is congested. The Unlimited Extra Plan is our fastest 4G LTE data speeds with video streaming at SD quality (about 480p) and for all data usage Cricket may slow data speeds when the network is congested. As always, actual speeds may vary by location and device.

Is the Auto Pay Credit available with this plan?

Yes! If you sign up for Auto Pay, you'll receive a $5 bill credit applied to your account a few days before your billing due date. If you sign up for Auto Pay at checkout, or as a current customer within 7 days of your due date, you'll receive the Auto Pay credit starting with your next month's billing cycle. Please note that the Auto Pay Credit is not available for accounts receiving a Group Save discount. View more Auto Pay info.

Is Group Save available with the Unlimited plans?

Group Save is available with the Unlimited Extra plan! You can save up to $70 each month when you have 5 eligible lines on your account. View more Group Save info. Please note that the Auto Pay Credit is not available for accounts receiving a Group Save discount. The Unlimited Plan is not eligible for Group Save discounts but is eligible for other promotions.

 

How Cricket Compares

Cricket's network is bigger, but I heard it's slower. Why should I switch?

Cricket's network has more 4G LTE coverage than T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint or Boost (based on overall coverage in the U.S; 4G LTE not available everywhere). Cricket customers enjoy a great experience at our current data speeds. Our network provides data download speeds of up to 8Mbps for compatible 4G LTE devices. This is more than sufficient for surfing the web, playing games, watching movies, etc.

You talk a lot about the network, but Cricket caps speeds at 8Mbps - how can you compete there?

Our 4G and LTE data speeds and network reliability work well. We also have more 4G LTE coverage than T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint or Boost (based on overall coverage in the U.S; 4G LTE not available everywhere).

Do you offer a data-only plan?

Not at this time.

Does streaming music via Deezer count toward data usage?

Yes, but Cricket and Deezer worked to design a premium music service that is data efficient. This lessens the impact on data usage.

Is a Cricket service plan compatible with an AT&T bundle? For instance, if I have an AT&T Mobile, U-Verse and Direct TV package, can I swap out my AT&T Mobile for a Cricket plan?

I'm a new customer. How can I get the 4 for $100/mo offer?

To get the 4 for $100/mo offer, place an order for four new lines of service on the Unlimited Plan on cricketwireless.com. Start by adding a phone and the Unlimited Plan for your first line. When you reach the cart page, select Add Another Line from the top. Add a phone and another Unlimited Plan. You'll see your discount reflected in your cart. Proceed to checkout, and enjoy your savings! Please note, all lines on your account must be on the Unlimited Plan to be eligible for this offer.

I'm an existing customer. How can I get the 4 for $100/mo offer?

As an existing Cricket customer, you too can enjoy the 4 for $100/mo offer if you have four lines on the Cricket Unlimited Plan. You can do this by changing your plan or adding additional lines. The Unlimited Plan is required for all lines on your account.
Here's how the discounts work on the Unlimited Plan:

  • 1 Line - $55/mo (no discount)
  • 2 Lines - $80/mo ($30 discount)
  • 3 Lines - $90/mo ($75 discount)
  • 4 Lines - $100/mo ($120 discount)

Discounts are automatically applied after eligible plan changes are made. However, these discounts won't show on your bill until your next billing cycle.

Please read these instructions for how to make changes to your account:

To get the 4 for $100/mo offer, first change your existing lines to the Cricket Unlimited Plan. Then add new lines on the Cricket Unlimited Plan.

NOTE: If you need to add more than one line, you'll need to add them one a time, or visit a store.

  1. Log in to My Account, select Mange Plans & Services than a phone number.
  2. Then select Change Plan & Features, and pick the Unlimited Plan. The discounted price will display for applicable lines 2 and 3.
  3. Once all your existing lines are on the Unlimited Plan, return to the Account Summary page, and select Add a Line.
  4. Follow the prompts to add a new line with the Unlimited Plan to your Cricket account. The new line discount will be applied in your cart.

To get the 4 for $100/mo offer, simply change all of your lines to the Cricket Unlimited Plan.

  1. Log in to My Account, select Manage Plans & Services then a phone number you want to change first.
  2. Select Change Plan & Features, then pick Unlimited. The discounted price will display for applicable lines 2-4.
  3. Return to the Account Summary page and repeat the plan change for each phone number.

Are there any multi-line discounts available for the Unlimited Extra Plan?

Yes. You can get discounts by changing your plan or adding additional lines. The Unlimited Extra Plan is required for all lines on your account. Discounts are available for lines 2-5. Here's how the discounts work on the Unlimited Extra Plan:

  • 1 Line - $60/mo (no discount)
  • 2 Lines - $90/mo ($30 discount)
  • 3 Lines - $120/mo ($60 discount)
  • 4 Lines - $150/mo ($90 discount)
  • 5 Lines - $180/mo ($120 discount)

Discount are automatically applied after eligible plan changes are made. However, these discounts won't show on your bill until your next billing cycle.

How can I get multiline or promotional discounts without paying today?

Existing customers can schedule plan changes to take effect at the start of their next billing cycle. Just be sure to change each existing line in the order the lines appear on your Account Summary:

  1. Log into My Account, select Manage Plnas & Services, then select the first phone number listed on your Account Summary. Note: When you log into myCricket, you will select Manage Your Lines.
  2. Select Change Plan, then pick the Unlimited Extra or Unlimited Plan and Select Plan.
  3. Schedule your plan change to start on your Next Billing Cycle, review your changes and select Next. Submit your order.

 Now change your other 3 lines in chronological order, repeating steps 1-3 until all 4 lines are changed.

How do I change my plan today?

That's easy! You can sign in to My Account online or myCricket to change your plan. If you don't have a username and password, it only takes a few minutes to register using your Cricket phone number. You can also swing by your local store or call 611 from your phone. See how easy it is to change your plan.

What if I'm in the middle of my billing cycle? Can I change my plan without paying full price?

Yes, of course. You'll just need to pay the difference. When you make a plan change, we prorate the charges for the rest of your billing cycle, so you'll only pay for the days you use the service. View rate plan common questions.

If and when you discontinue the plan, will current users be grandfathered in?

Yes, as long as you remain a customer in good standing on the grandfathered plan.
