Refer A Friend is a customer referral program that allows you to earn up to $250/year by referring your friends to Cricket (10 referrals per calendar year).

What are the requirements to participate in Refer A Friend?

You must have active Cricket service and a My Account or myCricket app login to be able to send your friends referrals.

How does the Refer A Friend program work?

  1. Send your personal referral link via text message, email, or social media. You can do so from inside My Account or the myCricket app.
  2. Your friend clicks the link, enters their email address, and a unique referral code is emailed to them.
  3. Your friend joins Cricket and redeems their code in My Account or the myCricket app within 30 days.
  4. After 60 days of active service, you both get a $25 account credit. This credit will be automatically applied to your account.

Who is eligible for the Refer A Friend program?

Active Cricket customers can participate in Refer A Friend. This excludes customers on an employee plan or discounted line of service.

Where can I see my Refer A Friend credit?

Your Refer A Friend credit will be automatically applied to your account after 60 days of active service. You can see the credit in the Account Summary section of My Account or myCricket.

What can I use my Refer A Friend credits for?

Refer A Friend credits are automatically applied to your account. They can be used to pay for service and features on your account.

When do Refer A Friend credits expire?

Account credits only expire when Cricket service is canceled.

Can I exchange my Refer A Friend credits for cash?

No, Refer A Friend credits can only be used for Cricket services and features.

Do I need to update the myCricket App to participate in Refer A Friend?

To participate in Refer A Friend in the myCricket App, please download the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Alternately, you may visit Refer A Friend in My Account on desktop or mobile.

Can I refer friends to join my existing Cricket account?

No, your friend must open a new Cricket account.

What's the limit on how many friends I can refer?

You can receive up to 10 referral credits per account per calendar year.

How do I check the status of my referrals?

You can check the status of your referrals in My Account or the myCricket app. The first step is Claimed Code. This means your friend clicked the referral link you sent and retrieved their unique referral code. The next step is Redeemed Code. At this point, your friend has joined Cricket and has used their referral code. The last step is Earned $25. At this point, both you and your friend have earned a $25 credit that has been applied to each of your accounts.

My friend activated Cricket service before generating their referral code. How can I get credit for the referral?

Unfortunately, if your friend activates service before claiming the referral code, there's nothing we can do. Next time you refer someone, please remind them to click the link you sent them to get a referral code before activating service.

My friend activated Cricket service. Why does the referral status still show Claimed Code?

Make sure your friend has entered their referral code in My Account or the myCricket app.

My friend joined Cricket and entered their referral code in My Account or myCricket. Why haven't I received my $25 yet?

Once you and your friend keep your Cricket service active for 60 days, you'll receive your referral credits.

Will I still receive my referral credit if my account is suspended?

Yes, as long as you and your friend do not cancel service within 60 days of your friend joining Cricket.

What happens if my friend cancels their Cricket service?

If the friend you referred cancels service fewer than 60 days from signing up, the referral will be unsuccessful. No credit will be applied to your account.

I clicked the link my friend sent, but I?m having trouble getting my referral code. What can I do?

You can try to retrieve your referral code on a mobile device, laptop or desktop, or visit a Cricket store.

I can't find my referral code. How do I locate it?

You have two options:

  1. Search for the email Cricket sent you when you clicked the referral link.
  2. Select Forgot Code in My Account or myCricket.

Your referral code is valid for 30 days after it is generated from your friend's referral link. You must activate service, create a My Account or myCricket app login, and redeem your referral code within 30 days.

What happens if I activate Cricket service before getting my referral code?

You must retrieve your referral code from your friend's link before activating service. Unfortunately, once you activate service, there's nothing else we can do. Check out the other great cell phone deals Cricket has to offer.

How long does it take to get my referral credit?

You will receive your referral credit after 60 days of active Cricket service, as long as you meet the program requirements. This includes redeeming your referral code in My Account or myCricket within 30 days of getting the code.

Will I still receive my credit if the friend who referred me canceled their service?

Yes, you will receive your $25 credit as long as you do not cancel service within 60 days of joining Cricket.

My Account was suspended after I claimed my referral code. How does this affect my $25 credit?

The credit will be applied to your account after 60 days of service, even if your account is in a suspended state.
