Cricket Cares: Spreading Smiles for Miles

In September, Cricket Wireless continued demonstrating that community matters. From collecting food donations to providing hygiene kits to teens, we are committed to showing up and giving back to support local communities across the country.

Central Cali Food Bank Food Bank

From July 31 through September 30, Cricket, together with Authorized Retailer Optimal Wireless, collected an estimated 800 lbs. of food to benefit the Central California Food Bank. Our support won’t end here, as we plan to return in November to help with the actual food distribution.

Lake Charles, LA

In Lake Charles, LA, Cricket teamed with local small business owners to provide hot food and supplies to residents who were impacted by Hurricane Laura.

In Franklin, IN, we teamed with Authorized Retailer Rymco to provide 50 personal hygiene kits to youth served by local non-profit KIC-IT (Kids In Crisis – Intervention Team). The organization is focused on providing a network of support and empowerment for youth to break the cycle of homelessness and promote independence.

Family Memories

And in Brooklyn, NY, Cricket took part in the 13th Annual HarvestFest Back-To-School Giveaway to prepare local students for the new school year ahead. Although students were not physically returning to the classroom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was still important to get them classroom ready. For our part, we, along with AT&T External Affairs, donated backpacks and supplies to students.

These are just a few of the activities Cricket participated in during September. Stay tuned for next month’s update.
