With the roar of the crowd still echoing through Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the 2025 Cricket Celebration Bowl has once again delivered a showcase of talent, tradition, and community. Cricket Wireless is proud to support this annual clash of champions and the vibrant culture surrounding it.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, 27,000+ fans filled the stands to witness a thrilling showdown between Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) Panthers and South Carolina State University (SCSU) Bulldogs for the HBCU football national championship. The excitement was electric from kickoff to the final whistle, with both teams leaving it all on the field.

    • The game had four overtimes with the Bulldogs making the winning touchdown
    • Cricket influencer Isaac Williams wielded the Cricket 5G Mace and showed it on ABC Live!
Whether you were cheering in Atlanta or tuning in from home, the passion and pride were on full display. Cricket Wireless was on-site during the pregame, fan experiences and engaging band enthusiasts with our 5G mace.


Band of the Year
Atlanta high school talent was on full display. New Manchester High School and Westlake High School performed alongside collegiate band members. Division I and Division II marching bands competed for the trophy, and each received $75,000 prize. Ultimately, Southern University’s The Human Jukebox and Miles College’s The Marching Purple Machine rose triumphantly, wooing the crowd and judges.

South Carolina State University and Southern University drum majors wielded the Cricket 5G mace at the pre-game fan experience to capture a 360 visual of their high energy performances.

Cricket influencer and former HBCU drum major, Isaac Williams also shot behind-the-scenes moments challenging onlookers to a friendly battle. Check out Cricket’s social media for a glimpse of the action.
 

Cricket Campus Ambassadors
Representing 11 HBCUs across the country, 13 Cricket Campus Ambassadors connected with Cricket Leadership and experienced #CricketNation hospitality all weekend.

Many were featured in our latest round of commercials, which debuted at the game. Check them out on Cricket’s YouTube channel. Often serving as many of their first professional experiences, we take pride in helping them harness their skills to launch pad their postgrad careers.
