For Hispanic Heritage Month 2022, Cricket Wireless set out to showcase how our strong network is here for your strong network.
From tear-jerker moments surprising entrepreneurs with the help of TikTok influencer, Jesus Morales to supporting scholarships funds for Latino students, from coast to coast, we are focused on inspiring smiles.
As a sponsor of Jambalaya News’s first annual Miss. Latina New Orleans scholarship pageant, Cricket Wireless helped amplify the development of social initiatives in the southeast Louisiana community. Congratulations to the inaugural winner, Marlene Castillo!
The first annual HACEMOS Scholarship Foundation 5K Run had members of #CricketNation lacing up their running shoes to raise money for the next generation of Latino students in Atlanta. Our ongoing sponsorship of the HACEMOS Scholarship Program ensures college scholarships are available to support the next generation of scholars at organizations like HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education). The Foundation’s Atlanta chapter was able to raise over $12,000 for students!
In addition, Cricket and HACEMOS donated to HoPe’s scholarship fund. Mark your calendar for next year’s run scheduled for September 30, 2023.
Jefes del Futuro
Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and that’s why we continue to support entrepreneurs. Our 2021 Jefes del Futuro contest winners are using their platforms to pay it forward by charting their own path. Catch up with our winners Paulana the founder of Black People Will Swim (BPWS) here and Elisa the founder of Covedoza here. In addition to the business grant, our winners received a Cricket device plus a year of service, and mentorship from a Cricket Wireless employee on how to grow their brand.
We are so proud to celebrate the communities we serve and helping them make and preserve meaningful connections.
